I think it's worse when people queue up to be the first to buy a new phone.
Don't get me wrong it's still tragic to queue up for trainers but at least most people are doing it because these are a collectible/investment and will be sold on for a profit in the future, whereas with a phone or other gadget it's literally just to be able to use it a few hours before other people.
